Course Introduction:

This engineering continuing education course provides an overview of common buried utilities, including electricity, potable water, reclaim water, sewer, natural gas, and telecommunications. Utility lines are routed through the public right-of-way (ROW) and inside easements on private property. The utility organization may be an investor-owned utility (IOU), publicly owned utilities (POU), or cooperative (co-ops).

This course covers types of utilities, planning utilities for new developments, ROW and easements, trenchless installations, crossings of waterways and railroads, condition assessments, rehabilitation techniques, utility maps, and utility locating techniques.
