Course #2024007
PDH: 3 hrs
Price: $30.00

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

This course is about Analysis & Assessment of Buildings Subjected to Blast Loads

Most of engineers, researchers, professional and consultant engineers in structural engineering field strongly want to learn how to accurately assessment the existing concrete buildings exposed to blast loading They do not have adequate sources to learn it. This course is prepared to solve this problem. It covers the following topics:

Provide engineers with the required technical data which enable them to take the right decision, if that structure must be retrofitting or not.
Help engineers to identify when these deficiencies will lead to building collapse and when they will not.
Learn the engineers how to do progressive collapse analysis to accurately evaluate the structure

This course is intended primarily for structural engineers, professional and consultant engineers.

Once you complete your course review, you need to take a multiple-choice quiz consisting of fifteen (15) questions to earn 3 PDH credits. The quiz will be based on the entire file.

LEARNING OBJECTIVE:

At the conclusion of this course, the student will be able to rapidly evaluate the structural safety of existing concrete structures and will:

• Be able to provide engineers with the required technical data which enable them to take the right decision, if that structure must be retrofitting or not.
• Be able to do the protective design for blast-resistant structures
• Be able to do the required progressive collapse analysis to show if this building will collapse or not due to blast loading effects.
