Course Description
This course reports on an experimental investigation of bracing requirements for cold-formed steel wall studs in axial compression. Two related papers from the same research project make up this continuing education course.
Learning Objectives
• Learn the rational requirements for nodal bracing of lipped cee-studs subjected to axial compression• Learn provisions that can be used for design purposes for bracing.
• Learn how current generic bracing connections for steel studs perform for both strength and stiffness.
