Introduction:

The primary objective of this PDH course is to familiarize the student with the laws, rules, and ethics regulating the practice of engineering in the State of New Mexico. A focus is placed on ethics and integrity for engineers and the disciplinary process for those who do not practice in an ethical manner.

Learning Objectives:

Upon successful completion of the course, the student will be well versed in all pertaining laws and rules governing the engineering profession in New Mexico. Included in this course in the “New Mexico Engineering and Surveying Practice Act”, and Title 16, Chapter 39 of the New Mexico Administrative Code. A copy of the ASCE code of ethics as well as disciplinary actions taken recently by the Board are also part of the reading material.

- To complete the course you must pass a short 20 question multiple-choice/ true-false quiz. Please note this course will NOT meet the Florida Laws and Rules Course Requirement.
